From Raising Grapes to Raising Sons

In the fall of 2011, Matt crossed paths with his future wife, Teresa, who was working at a vineyard from which he purchased grapes for his first MCV vintage. Teresa attended California Polytechnic State University, specializing in orchard and vineyard management while minoring in wine and viticulture. Although her education leaned towards agriculture, she found her calling in hospitality, managing the MCV tasting room, wine club, and events.

In 2015, Matt and Teresa tied the knot, and their family has since grown to include two boys, Christopher (CFV) and Jacob (JMV). The family shares their home with two dogs, Torrontés and Sirius Black, as well as a black cat named Syrah. Outside of their wine adventures, they find joy in camping, gardening, traveling, and raising their sons.

While Matt indulges in hobbies like reading, video games, and tending to his bonsai trees, he and Teresa harbor a shared dream of expanding MCV by eventually owning and managing a small vineyard with a strong focus on sustainable practices.

Together, they are dedicated to the growth and success of MCV, extending their love for wine into a legacy they can pass on to future generations.
