Walk-in are always welcome, reservations are available.
We have come a long way from our little tasting room in Morro Bay — the old days! Our move to Paso Robles has had its challenges, and it has also brought new perspective, collaborations, and opportunities to host you as an MCV member. This year, we would like to invite you to visit our newly decorated tasting room, try our new cheese pairings, tour the winery, dine in our barrel room, and take a front row seat to see the action during harvest at MCV.
In addition to our new red benches and Lego designs (check out the intricate sculptures created by Matt and Christopher), we have updated our wine and cheese pairing menu to include some of the wine new releases. This wine and cheese experience will be available this May at out tasting room. It also can be shipped out as a gift or for a virtual tasting party. Our cheeses are selected in collaboration with Vivant Fine Cheese in Paso Robles, and the pairing makes a great addition to an MCV tasting flight. While appointments are not necessary, they do help ensure a pairing plate is available for your party.
Speaking of pairings, our dinners have always been food driven and wine focused. If you have not been able to attend one of our winemaker’s dinners, we invite you to take part in the experience. Chef Mike of Knife+Fork creates well thought out, unique, and memorable meals. During each dinner, Matt and Mike introduce the wine and the pairing, which can sometimes this can lead to a wonderful culinary Q and A to share more winemaking education. These dinners are remarkable. We like to keep our dinners small and intimate so we can get to know our guests as we share the experience together. Below is a schedule of our culinary events for 2022. We hope to see you here!
Biggest factors leading to our move from Morro Bay to Paso Robles was the opportunity to have our own wine production facility. With two successful harvests here, we've discovered that our building set up provides an up-close view of all the happenings throughout the season. Our tasting room sits on the front line of most of the production work: grape deliveries, fruit sorting, destemming, and punch downs. If you want to visit us during an MCV harvest, we are usually in full swing September through October, depending on the weather. While we do not take volunteers during the season, we can offer a great view of what harvest is like for a small Paso Robles winery.
Whether you are local, or an out-of-state member, we are happy to host you in person or virtually and are looking forward to spending time with you this year!
